Anthony has considerable experience conducting at a national and international level. He is renowned for his thoughtful insights, clear directions and energetic nature. This combination leads to an intuitive nature towards phrasing, articulation and the voicing of instruments.

Anthony is well versed in the standard orchestral repertoire, given European premieres of contemporary works and has a passion for authentic performance techniques. He has given numerous concerts internationally including direct and delayed TV and Radio broadcasts.

Anthony has appeared as guest conductor in Italy, Corsica, China and Australia. He is Conductor and Artistic Director of the Sydney Sinfonietta in Australia; Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the Foshan Philharmonic Orchestra; Principal Guest Conductor and Artistic Director of the Xining Symphony Orchestra; Principal Guest Conductor and Artistic Advisor to the Pearl River Symphony Orchestra in Guangzhou; Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Guangzhou Chamber Orchestra; and Guest Conductor for many other orchestras. As a result of success with the Symphony Australia conducting program, Anthony was invited to work with The Queensland Orchestra and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
